TeamTalk have reported a major update on Jude Bellingham and the chances of him joining Liverpool.

Transfer insider Ben Jacobs has provided the website with a number of updates on Liverpool’s hunt for the England midfielder recently and some of them are hugely positive for Reds fans.

The first piece of major news he told TEAMtalk is that Liverpool have put in the most work to try and convince the midfielder to sign for them. This has given The Reds a slight advantage over his other suitors – namely Real Madrid and Manchester City – although those two clubs are most definitely lurking.

With Liverpool struggling in the league this season, many have speculated that it’s going to be impossible for Jurgen Klopp’s side to attract the player without UEFA Champions League football. However, this does not seem the case.

Jacobs moved to quash any concerns that Liverpool not getting Champions League football will impact their chase for Bellingham.

The journalist believes Klopp’s side should be able to ‘get away with it’ as long as they can provide a compelling long-term plan that would be convincing for Bellingham, which would certainly involve them qualifying for the UCL in future campaigns.

The biggest story, however, is the dynamic between Bellingham and his advisors.

According to Jacobs, the 19-year-old is enamoured by the prospect of joining Liverpool, but his camp want assurances that current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will remain Reds boss for the long run before they commit to signing anything.

The potential of playing under German boss Klopp is one of the major draws for the England international – as it would be for most players. Klopp is undoubtedly one of the best managers on the planet and his management style and way of playing would be a major pull for most players.

So if the manager leaves or is sacked, Bellingham will have a big decision to make about Liverpool being the right club for him.

TEAMtalk also report that they have been told that part of Manchester City’s push for the player is their insistence that he will be working under Pep Guardiola.

City are aware of Bellingham’s concern surrounding the future Klopp and are attempting to prevent similar problems of their own when it comes to Guardiola.

It is understood Chelsea are likely to try and sign the teenager ahead of Liverpool, Real and City. However, Bellingham does not see Chelsea as a viable option as things stand.

So some major news coming out relating to the future of Jude Bellingham. It seems as if Liverpool are still in the driving seat when it comes to signing the Birmingham born player and this is a huge boost for Reds fans ahead of the clash with Real Madrid this evening.
