Liverpool are interested in bringing Napoli central defender Kim Min-Jae to Anfield, according to Italian publication Il Mattino.
Virgil Van Dijk’s hamstring injury has forced Liverpool to reevaluate their defensive options amid Liverpool’s rocky defensive displays in recent games.
Van Dijk is ruled out until February and as a result Liverpool may go into the transfer market to find temporary cover.
Kim Min-Jae signed for Napoli last summer as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly who left for Chelsea.
Napoli are the leaders of Serie A with Min-Jae in the heart of their defense.
The 6 ft 2 South Korean has 2 goals to his name since joining the club. He was the Serie A Player of the Month in September 2022, a mere month after coming to Italy.
Manchester United are also reported to be interested in the defender.
