According to Italian publication calciomercato.com, Liverpool are eyeing a move for young Atalanta centre-back Giorgio Scalvini.
The 19-year-old Italian has admirers across Europe, with Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid also named as potential suitors for the defender.
The report calls Scalvini a young player with the “head of a veteran and the technical and tactical qualities of a mature player”. They also report that Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini loves the player but knows that he will not be able to keep him for long. Atalanta expect many offers to come in for Scalvini.
Scalvini, also capable of playing as a holding midfielder, has managed to score 2 goals in 14 Serie A appearances this season.
He has also made 3 appearances for the Italian national team, making his senior debut last summer.
