Liverpool have had a strong campaign in front of goal with Mo Salah being their key man in attack yet again, solidifying himself as one of the all-time Premier League greats.
He has now departed for AFCON though with Egypt as he tries to win that competition for the first time in his career so there will be impetus on Jurgen Klopp’s four other options in attack.
Luis Diaz stepped up in Liverpool’s most recent game as they took on Arsenal away from home and beat them 2-0 to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
It is unlikely that Liverpool will dip in the transfer market for an attacker in January but there is reportedly someone Klopp has been keeping a close eye on for the future.
Pedro Neto is someone Jurgen Klopp is keen on
According to a recent report, Klopp does have his eyes on strengthening his forward line in the future and Wolves man Pedro Neto is someone he believes can do that.
The plans have supposedly already started for next season for the Reds’ and Neto is seen as someone who can be a vital component.
Neto is viewed as a plan B if an audacious attempt to land Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe does not come off.
Liverpool are wary that a battle for Neto’s signature could heat up with Arsenal tracking him and Manchester City also keeping tabs on his situation as they are fans of the winger.
So far this season Neto has played 12 games in all competitions scoring one goal whilst getting nine assists.
He suffered a big injury to his hamstring which ruled him out for nine games and he has only just returned to action.
With the European Championships in the summer he will be hoping to play well enough to get him into Portugal’s squad and should he perform well his price will rise even further for the top sides competing for him.
