One of the most anticipated transfers in recent years is set to finally happen as the discourse surrounding Kylian Mbappe and his future looks like it is going to come to an end.

The French superstar has been at Paris Saint-Germain since 2018 when he moved from Monaco after becoming a young sensation in the Champions League.

However, almost every year since he joined he has been linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid as he is viewed as one of the biggest and most important players on the planet.

Now after a few years of constant drama surrounding the forward in every transfer window, a deal may finally be happening.

Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid on a free transfer

According to a new report, Mbappe has agreed a deal to join Real Madrid at the end of this season when his contract runs out at PSG.

There were rumours and other reports, from The Times, that Mbappe wasn’t impressed with how Real Madrid had gone about trying to get him to sign a deal for free.

This led to suggestions that the 25-year-old was looking at a move to possibly the Premier League with Liverpool as one of the sides that he likes.

However that is now seemingly off the cards as he has now supposedly reached an agreement with Los Blancos and will join Carlo Ancelloti’s side in the summer.

The report suggests that Mbappe wants to be in control of the situation and that serious progress was made over the last few days.

After plenty of offers in the past he is ready to leave PSG without any hassle and he wants to take the plunge to join one of the biggest sides in the footballing world.

So far this season he has played 24 games in all competitions scoring 25 goals and he could end the season with a treble at PSG after they scraped through the Champions League group stages.
