Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City have all been linked with Jude Bellingham in recent months. If recent reports are to be believed Real Madrid are ‘ahead’ in the race. How that is quantified I do not know.
One thing that is for sure is that Liverpool face a battle to sign the 19-year-old.
If Liverpool are still in with a shout to sign Bellingham heaven and earth have to be moved to get that signing over the line.
Last week Sportsbild reported that Bellingham will meet with Dortmund officials in Marbella during a team training camp in the next number of days to discuss his future.
According to AS those present at the meeting will be Mark Bellingham, Jude Bellingham’s father and representative, Mark Bennett, family friend and respected football agent, Han-Joachim Watzke, Dortmund CEO, Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund Sporting Director and the player himself.
Han-Joachim Watzke and Jurgen Klopp have a close relationship going back years.
AS report that Dortmund have set a price for their prized asset. €100M plus €40M in bonuses. The article reports that efforts were made recently to convince Bellingham to extend his contract. If he did his release clause would have been set at €150M per the report.
