Liverpool youngster James Balagizi has completed a loan move to Scottish outfit Kilmarnock for the remainder of the 2023/24 season, a club statement confirms.
The loan switch is subject to international clearance.
Balagizi was previously on loan at Wigan Athletic, but unfortunate he suffered a hamstring strain in late November- ensuring his loan spell was cut short.
He made 7 appearances across all competitions with the Lactics before being recalled this window.
He recently signed a new contract before he made the move to Wigan.
The 20-year-old also spent time on loan at Crawley Town last season, but unfortunately fitness would plague him again when an undisclosed injury ended his season prematurely.
Former Crawley Town manager Kevin Betsy, whom Balagizi also played under for the England U18’s, singled out Balagizi as an “excellent player” back in 2022.
The midfielder has been a Red since the U11 level, and has twice been named on the bench for the senior team under manager Jurgen Klopp.
He was also part of the U18 side that made the FA Youth Cup final in 2021.
Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock are currently fourth in the standings and are next in action at home against Hibernian this Saturday.
Hopefully Balagizi is able to put his injury issues behind him and kick on up in Scotland for the rest of the season.
