A number of Championship clubs have been linked with a loan move for Leighton Clarkson.

The 21-year-old has left Liverpool on loan in search of first team football. Clarkson has been in fine form in the Scottish Premier League. The youngster joined Aberdeen on loan earlier in the season. Aberdeen manager is delighted with how well the Liverpool loanee has adapted to life in Scotland.

Speakin to ‘The Scotsman‘, Goodwin said:

“Liverpool are delighted and are not looking to bring him back.”

“We have had constant dialogue up until last week explaining to Liverpool that we are delighted with what Leighton is doing right now.”

Pete O Rourke, writing for the Football insider, previously of Sky Sports, reports that Championship trio West Brom, Reading and QPR have all shown their interests in taking Clarkson for the second half of the season.
