Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren have a well-documented good relationship with each other and spent three seasons at Anfield together before Lovren departed for Zenit Saint-Petersburg at the end of the 2019-20 season.
It was a fitting end for Lovren to end his six-year stay at Liverpool as a Premier League champion, something that former Liverpool man Daniel Sturridge missed out on by leaving the season prior.
“From day one, we felt this connection,” Lovren revealed about Salah back in 2018.
“We have been talking a lot, we were talking about private things, and we have a similar background, a tough life from the beginning.”
“And then with his normality, how he can talk to you and when you see how he thinks… we are good friends, coffee, jokes!”
The pair have once again linked up off the field to shoot a hilarious advert for Pepsi in Salah’s home nation of Egypt.
It shows the duo catching on all sorts of mischief around town while trying a whole host of traditional Egyptian food.
