Liverpool are awaiting the results of scans undergone by Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota.

The two sustained injuries in the draw vs Manchester City at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp is likely to give an update on Alisson and Jota in his pre-match press conference ahead of the LASK fixture in the Europa League.

Caoimhin Kelleher will be on standby to step in if Alisson is ruled out for any length of time.

Liverpool.com report that midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are ruled out until 2024.

The Spaniard have been nursing long-tern injuries. Thiago sustained a hip injury back in February and has not played since, although before the start of this season it appeared the former Bayern man was nearing full fitness.

Thiago, however, seemed to have suffered a set-back in his recovery and no timeline has been given on when he may return to training.

Stefan Bajcetic required surgery after his season was cut short through injury. The youngster featured vs LASK in the Europa League in September but also seemed to have suffered a set-back in his recovery.

Liverpool have plenty of players in the middle of the park to get by but supporters would be eager to see Bajcetic return to the team in good health.

Bajcetic’s emergence into the first team was a bright spot in a fairly forgettable campaign last season.

Thiago’s future at the club is uncertain, as the midfielder is out of contract next summer and has been linked to clubs in Spain, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
