Liverpool have found themselves in one of the best positions of any side so far this season even if they did suffer a loss in their last game against Arsenal.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently top of the Premier League table as they are competing for the title once again with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal being their main competitors however Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are also up there looking to capitalise on any dropped points.
As well as that The Reds are in the first domestic final of the season in England as they got through to the Carabao Cup final beating Fulham in the semi-finals over two legs.
They are also into the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating Arsenal and Norwich City whilst they are in the round of 16 of the Europa League after they topped the group rather easily.
There is a chance of course that they can go onto win four trophies just like they could have done two seasons ago but now they may be wanting it more due to the fact Jürgen Klopp is leaving the club at the end of the season.
Now vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold has come and spoken out about his hopes for this campaign.
Trent Alexander-Arnold wants to win the quadruple
Speaking on CNN he said: “I’m fully focused on winning every single trophy possible. My aim is to go and win the quadruple. Every single game is a must-win.
He continued: “I’m sure there will be amazing issues between now and then, it is now only a couple of weeks before we have the chance to win out first piece of silverware.”
When asked if it is difficult to put that to the back of his mind he said: “It is surprisingly easy, I always think that this time every game is almost like a final now because a certain other team look like they are clicking into gear which means that it is going to go down to the wire as usual which means every game is a must win, it is as simple as that.
“That is the way we want it, you want to get pushed and you want to push yourself as far and as hard as you can and test yourself to the limits.
“I think every single game is a must-win and even a draw feels like a loss no matter what the context of it is.”
When asked about what chances Liverpool have of winning every trophy he said: “Well the Carabao Cup is a 50/50 chance, I think the the cup competitions speak for themselves. it’s know how football.
“I will back ourselves against any team in the world to go & beat them over a game or two. That’s the mentality we need to have.
“The league is going to come down to consistency & results. We’ve got to limit the points that we drop. We need to put a good run together & keep our mentality right as the pressure will be right behind us.”
Liverpool’s next game in the fight for the Premier League title is against Burnley on Saturday as they look to bounce back from their loss against Arsenal.
