After the bombshell yesterday that Roberto Firmino will be leaving Liverpool in the summer, Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to share news that three more Liverpool midfielders are also expected to be out of the door in the summer too.
According to Romano, there are currently no talks ongoing between Liverpool and Naby Keita over a new contract.
Romano states that Keita could be the next player to leave Anfield on a free alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Both players have been speculated to leave for a while, with recent reports linking Naby Keita with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona.
Furthermore, Romano states that Liverpool do not expect to trigger the buy option on the loan agreement for Arthur Melo – meaning he will also leave.
Arthur’s time at Anfield has been riddled with injuries and therefore it’s no surprise that he won’t be around for much longer.
Liverpool are in desperate need for midfield reinforcements and the departure of three bodies from the squad will only accelerate their attempts to strengthen that area of the squad.
Reports have already linked them heavily to Chelsea’s Mason Mount as well as the big transfer expected of Jude Bellingham joining the club from German giants Borussia Dortmund.
