Thiago was interviewed as part of BT Sport’s ‘What I wore’ series. Thiago discussed a range of topics including why he joined Liverpool ahead of other Premier League sides and his admiration for Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.
Thiago has already played 90 times for the Reds despite having injuries at times on Merseyside. His performance midweek against Wolves with Stefan Bajcetic and Naby Keita in midfield was impressive.
Thiago on joining Liverpool:
“We won the league several years in a row, so I needed something more challenging, the Premier League is the biggest one. Who is the most iconic? The Better project? Better coach? And it was Liverpool for me. It was a match from the first day!”
Thiago was full of admiration for Ronaldinho:
“Ronaldinho was the player who made us stand up on our sofa when we were watching the games. He was different. He’s what football meant to me in that time.”
