Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could be set for a sensational return to football management as new manage of French giants Paris Saint-Germain, according to Scottish Daily Express.
According to the newspaper, the former Rangers and Aston Villa boss has been discussed by the PSG hierarchy who are becoming increasingly frustrated with Christophe Galtier – this is despite the team holding a five-point lead in Ligue 1.
But everyone knows that the real goal of the PSG hierarchy is European glory and that is looking increasingly unlikely this season after the Parisians lost their first leg against German champions Bayern Munich last week.
After also being knocked out of the French Cup and there being reported issues in the camp amongst the playing squad, Galtier seems to be on borrowed time.
The article also suggests that former PSG and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is also in contention and is deemed the favourite to land the job.
However, it really would be remarkable if Gerrard was offered the job. Quite clearly the PSG management are giving more credence to Gerrard’s time in charge of Glasgow Rangers as opposed to his time in Birmingham with Aston Villa.
