Sky Sports Germany has provided the latest update on Liverpool’s interest in Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane.

The online news portal claims via LFC Transferoom that Bayern should be very worried about the Reds’ latest interest in Sane with Jurgen Klopp a big fan and looking out for a possible move for the 27-year-old in the coming months.

Sane is seen as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah who has just 18 months left on his remaining contract with Liverpool. His impressive goal-scoring prowess makes him an ideal fit for Klopp’s side, having netted 47 goals in 151 games and won three successive Bundesliga titles.

The Germany international, just like Salah has 18 months left on his contract with the Bundesliga champions and there are increasing doubts over his future at the Allianz Arena, with Manchester City also interested in signing him.

In his recent interview, he confirmed that he is delaying contract talks with Bayern Munich.

“I haven’t given it any thought. The club wants to have discussions but at the moment I want to concentrate on the season. Bayern will be my first point of contract, everything else will take care of itself,” the former Man City forward said.

“I am taking on more and more responsibility, on and off the pitch. I really like the role and position at the moment. Julian [Nagelsmann] knows me very well and I want to repay that with good performances.

“I had good preparation and played into a flow. At the moment I’m really enjoying myself at the club and in the national team. I have big goals. Tomorrow will of course be relatively loud.

“Of course we’re looking forward to it. I was able to experience it in the Champions League in Istanbul, but also in Munich. There will be a lot of Turkish fans there and there will be a good atmosphere.”

This season, Sane has featured in all 11 league games as Thomas Tuchel’s outfit lie second in the table with 29 points, just two points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
