It’s no secret that despite his minutes decreasing over the years during his time in England, Roberto Firmino has become a fan favourite at Anfield. With the club facing the largest rebuild it has to undertake since the beginning of Klopp’s tenure, fans are eager to know who will be leaving this summer.
In an interview with the official Liverpool magazine Firmino expressed his love of playing for the reds. He states that “it’s incredible playing high-level football here with great players, stars of the game”. Firmino then goes on to say “I’m happy here and I intend to stay here and help Liverpool FC”.
For a number of fans this will come as a relief due to Firmino’s great form in front of goal this season. Bobby has 9 goals and 4 assists in 21 games this season. That tally is only 2 less than his total from the entirety of last season.
With the club rumoured to be losing a few notable names at the end of this season including Naby Keita, and Oxlade-Chamberlain, the last thing the club want is to lose too many big names on a free transfer. Especially with what is looking like an important summer of recruitment for the Reds to get back to their previous highs.
