Liverpool are set to undergo a overhaul this summer, with several players rumoured to be on the way out of the club.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner and Roberto Firmino all have deals which expire at the end of this season.
It would seem that Liverpool’s primary focus should be on the midfield and defence, but a report from Italy now suggests the Reds also have their eyes on a forward.
Calciomercato has linked AC Milan star Rafael Leão with a move to Anfield. The winger has one year left on his deal with Milan and negotiations over a renewal have reportedly not gone well.
Sensationally, the report claims that Liverpool could be interested in a player swap deal with Luis Diaz heading Italy and Leão taking the Colombian’s place on the left wing for Liverpool.
However, AC Milan are reported to prefer a straight cash deal for Leão, who they value at around €120 million.
Leão was a vital part of Milan’s Serie A winning team last season. The Portuguese 23-year-old has 9 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.
