With Liverpool set to undergo a rebuild in midfield in the summer, the Reds have been linked with several midfield targets, most notably Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham.
Fabrizio Romano reported on his daily column for Caught Offside that Polish international Piotr Zielinski looks likely to leave Napoli this summer.
Romano said that Liverpool were interested in the midfielder going all the way back to 2013.
“Liverpool have been linked with Piotr Zielinski for a long time, since 2013 I think,” Romano said.
“We’re seeing those links again, but my understanding at the moment is that there’s nothing concrete.”
The 28-year-old has been a staple in Napoli’s midfield since the 2016/17 season. Luciano Spalleti’s side have blitzed their way to the top of Serie A this season and are one of the most exciting teams in Europe.
Zielinski has scored 46 goals for Napoli in over 300 appearances.
