REPORT: Liverpool to target Alexis Mac Allister this summer

The World Cup winner looks likely to depart Brighton this summer.

With Liverpool set to undergo a rebuild in their midfield this summer, several midfield players have been linked to the club.

Several reports have circulated as of late in regards to Brighton midfielder and recent World Cup winner Alexis Max Allister’s potential exit this summer.

The 24-year-old contributed a goal and assist to help his nation Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar in December 2022.

Fraser Fletcher of Football Insider reports that Liverpool have “registered their interest” in Mac Allister.

Having signed for Brighton in 2019, Mac Allister has impressed with his performances in the Premier League and on the biggest stage at the World Cup. The midfielder has become a stalwart in Brighton’s midfield over the last 3 seasons.

The Argentinian has scored 7 goals this season and has looked particularly impressive since Roberto De Zerbi took over at Brighton.

Mac Allister is valued at £70 million and the report states that Brighton would be willing to part with midfielder if their asking price is met.

Brighton paid just £7 million for Mac Allister in 2019.
