The reliable Fabrizio Romano has reported on the Mohamed Salah situation, and the journalist has some positive news for Liverpool fans.
Some noise surrounding a potential departure for Salah have circulated in the last number of weeks, but Romano has shut down the idea.
Reporting on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Salah does not envision leaving Liverpool in the foreseeable future.
“The full focus of Mo Salah is on Liverpool. He extended the contract one year ago because he’s 100 per cent convinced of the Liverpool project, ideas, of Jurgen Klopp – who’s going to stay as Liverpool coach.
“The idea is very clear, he wants to continue there and then we will see in the future,” said Romano.
The journalist continue on, stating, “As of now Mo Salah is not negotiating with any other club. This is the only truth about his future. He’s fully focused on the Liverpool project.”
“This summer will be important for Liverpool, many comings are expected. There could be three, four new signings. But at the moment Klopp considers Salah as part of the team and also for the next season.”
With Liverpool set to undergo an extensive squad overhaul in the summer, the importance of holding onto world class players during a time of change and upheaval cannot be understated.
