Liverpool’s midfield has been a frequent subject of debate among supporters and pundits, with many believing it’s lack of energy, speed and power this season has been one of the major reasons behind Liverpool’s inconsistent form.
Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has sometimes looked a shell of the player who helped Liverpool win the Champions League in 2019 Premier League in 2020.
The 29-year-old has struggled with form all season and has now been linked with a departure from Anfield, as Jurgen Klopp is set to rebuild his midfield in the summer.
The Mirror’s David Maddock believes as far back as last summer Jurgen Klopp was considering moving on from Fabinho, as the Reds chased the French holding midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni all summer but missed out when the player signed for Real Madrid.
Fabinho has been an important part of the team for many years but Klopp may be forced to sell the midfielder while he is still worth a good fee in order to bring in his desired targets.
It is believed that Klopp wishes to sign three new midfielder players in the summer.
