It’s no secret that Liverpool are long-time admirers of 19-year-old sensation Jude Bellingham, who has scored 10 goals and registered six assists this season for Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman is Liverpool’s number one transfer target and The Reds have seemingly launched a charm offensive to convince Bellingham to come to Anfield.

Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider today reports that Bellingham’s relationship with Liverpool players Trent Alexander-Arnold and captain Jordan Henderson will be pivotal in Bellingham’s decision.

The young midfielder is said to have a good relationship with both players from their time together on international duty.

Henderson has been at Anfield since 2011 and Alexander-Arnold has played within the club’s youth ranks since he was a child. No two players are in a better position to speak about the club in a detailed manner and to sell life under Klopp to Bellingham.

O’Rourke writes that Liverpool have given their permission for Henderson and Alexander-Arnold to speak with Bellingham regarding a summer move to Liverpool.

The report states that Liverpool are currently frontrunners to sign Bellingham but that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea are still definitely in the race.

Liverpool’s qualification for the Champions League is said to be an important but not a deal-breaker in whatever decision Bellingham makes in the summer.

Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold were seen having a meal together last night in London.
