
Liverpool will rival Arsenal and Manchester United for the signing of Brentford defender Aaron Hickey, according to the Daily Mirror.
The online news portal claims that the Bees are likely to demand around £50m for the youngster before they consider opening discussions. Hickey is attracting interest from several clubs following his impressive performance for Thomas Frank’s side.
He is regarded as one of the best young talents at Brentford following his move from Bologna in 2022. The left-back featured in 26 games and provided one assist across all competitions in his debut season.
The Scotland international has been ever-present for Brentford this campaign following a long-term injury to Rico Henry. Henry has been ruled out for the season with a serious knee injury.
“With Aaron there is a lot of talk about whether he is a right-back or a left-back, but I am in that privileged position that he can play on both sides and will most likely go on the left,” Frank said.
“He is both-footed and has huge ability, we don’t have that many full-backs so he is very important. He is a player we signed a year ago with big ambitions and his future and it is going in the right direction for him.”
