Nicolo Barella is one of the midfielders Jurgen Klopp has interest in signing in the summer.
The news was reported by Italian football site Gazetta.it.
The Liverpool boss has sent Paul Goldrick, Liverpool’s scout covering Italy and Switzerland, to watch the Italian star.
The Italian site states that in addition to Jude Bellingham and Matheus Nunes Klopp wants to sign Barella.
Along with Paul Goldrick, Chief Scout Barry Hunter has also followed Barella for the last number of months, according to the report.
The site also reports that Klopp wants to sign at least one central defender in the summer window.
GOAL.com also shared the news in the summer of 2022 that Barella was one of the players Klopp admired.
Barella has played 42 times for Italy scoring 8 goals.
He would be a fantastic signing in the summer.
One player I would like Liverpool to sign is Nicolo Barella. Tidy player. I think he'll have a big tournament.
