Multiple reports suggest that Inter Milan will try to keep hold of Nicolò Barella this coming summer by selling Denzel Dumfries as they try and relieve their financial situation.

Inter need to raise £53m this summer, which could be easily acquired from a sale of Barella.

But instead they will try and sell Dumfries to a club like Tottenham Hotspur which would mean they can keep Barella.

Barella has been heavily linked to Liverpool as they look to switch up their midfield this coming summer, but if Tottenham are able to acquire Dumfries that will unlikely happen.

However, Spurs recently bought Pedro Porro from Sporting in Portugal who already plays the same position as Dumfries.

26-year-old Barella has been key to Inter since joining them. He played a part in their title winning season two seasons ago and this season he has played 31 times for Inter scoring six and assisting seven times as they currently sit second in Serie A and lead their Champions League tie against Porto.
