Liverpool’s squad, and in particular midfield, overhaul has been well-documented ahead of its inception in the summer.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reportedly been placed on the list of potential outgoings in the whole debacle and has gained interest from a series of clubs in the top division.

According to Football Insider, Southampton, Brighton and Leicester City are all willing to race to sign the 29-year-old from Liverpool.

The former Arsenal midfielder’s contract comes to end at the end of this campaign, and so a summer departure is looking as likely as ever.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s involvement in this campaign has been restricted due to competition for places and hamstring injury frustrations.

As so, the former England international has amassed just 12 appearances for the Anfield-based outfit this season.

After spending a whole decade in Southampton’s youth set up, he played his first senior football match on the South Coast in 2010.

The Saints are keen to re-sign Oxlade-Chamberlain, but the latter will be worried about Southampton’s Premier League status as they sit rock bottom of the topflight.

High-flying Brighton are also preparing an offer for Oxlade-Chamberlain as they look to bolster their squad in their pursuit of European football.

Brendan Rodgers, formerly of Liverpool, is also monitoring his situation but are in a similar position to Southampton where his club’s safety is currently up in the air.

His stint in Merseyside has been nothing short of successful, winning the Premier League, Champions League, EFL Cup, Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup in his six years at the club.
