Former England international Paul Robinson says Mohamed Salah brings fear to the opposition when he’s on the teamsheet.

Back in the starting lineup last weekend, the Egyptian forward took centre stage, posing a constant threat to Tottenham’s defence with his positive play, dribbling skills, and movement.

Although denied an early goal by Guglielmo Vicario’s save, Salah found the net after just 16 minutes, perfectly timing his run to connect with Gakpo’s excellent cross and nodding the ball firmly into the back of the net.

The goal marked his 18th in the Premier League this season, his 25th across all competitions, and his first since scoring the equalizer in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United on April 7.

Impressively, it was also his ninth goal in 15 Premier League appearances against Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Salah didn’t stop there, as he played a pivotal role in two more goals.

His shot led to Robertson’s goal, and his precise pass set up Elliott to make it 4-0.

“Without a shadow of a doubt,” Robinson told Stadium Astro.

“You look at the numbers. You look at the 30+ goals nearly every single season and his assists. His assists, every season, are in double figures.

“I don’t get what you have to be, to be world-class, if Mo Salah isn’t and that importance of the one individual to that Liverpool team over recent times.

“He has been a key element and component of their success.

“He is one of them players, when the teamsheet comes in before a game, you think Mo Salah isn’t in the team.

“He is one of them players who instantly gives you a boost if he isn’t on the opposition side.

“You know you have half a chance because he isn’t playing. He is, without a doubt, world-class.”

Salah is expected to maintain his position in the starting lineup as Liverpool travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Monday night.
