Paul Mitchell is set to leave Monaco at the end of the season. He has been linked to the upcoming vacant Liverpool role.

L’Equipe report that he turned down a new deal at the French side.

Mitchell was involved in roles at Tottenham, Southampton, and Leipzig in the past. He is credited with helping develop players like Christopher Nkunku, Dani Olmo, and Patrik Schick.

He was previously linked with the Manchester United role. Julian Ward will leave at the end of the season after just one season in the role. He replaced Michael Edwards who was seen by many as the mastermind behind Liverpool’s shrewd purchases during his time at the club.

Ward has been named as one of the candidates in consideration for the Ajax role.

Mauricio Pochettino worked with Mitchell at Southampton and the two reunited at Tottenham. Mitchell reportedly quit after becoming frustrated with Tottenham’s transfer policy.
