Pete O Rourke, writing for the FootballInsider, has named Tim Steidten as a potential new sporting director of Liverpool. Steidten left his role at Bayer Leverkusen in the last 24 hours.
A number of European clubs have been put on alert due to his availability according to the report.
The Liverpool sporting director role will become free this summer as Julian Ward will depart after just one season in charge. Ward has been heavily linked to the Ajax role.
Steidten, 43, has been credited with identifying players like Florian Wirtz.
