Martin Keown labels Alexis Mac Allister as Brighton’s Lionel Messi.
Speaking to TalkSPORT, he said:
“Mac Allister is almost their little Messi, really,”
“He could play anywhere: at the foot of midfield, the top of midfield, his interchange of play, his technique, his quality – we knew it was always there”.
“They signed him on a new contract before the World Cup, it just gets better and better. Yes they can make it into fourth place.”
Mac Allister has enjoyed a dream year, winning the World Cup with Argentina and challenging for European football with Brighton.
He’s just one of many Brighton players, like Moises Caicedo, Kaoru Mitoma, Evan Ferguson, and Levi Collwill who have caught the eye of most top Premier League clubs.
