Ex-Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini and the current Real Betis manager has admitted he enjoyed Liverpool’s 7-0 thumping of Manchester United.
Real Betis will face Manchester United tomorrow at Old Trafford as Erik Ten Hag’s side look to recovery quicky from their humiliation at Anfield.
Manuel Pellegrini spoke prior to the Europa League clash and was gleeful at Sunday’s result:
“Unbelievable. I was watching the first 45 minutes because after that we had to play against Real Madrid, so I couldn’t see when Liverpool scored the other six goals,” he said in a press conference. “But of course I understood immediately what would happen at Manchester United. [For] such a rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester [United], to [concede] so many goals will not be easy for them. But I’m a Manchester City fan also, so I was not very sad about what happened.”
