Liverpool currently have more than 15 players out on loan, of varying levels of experience and age.

Tyler Morton impressed on his debut for Hull City over the past weekend, providing an assist that would earn a draw for the Tigers.

Nat Philips is currently on loan at Celtic after struggling to break into Liverpool’s first team.

He recently admitted that he was disappointed to miss the recent Old Firm derby after watching the game from the media box.

Celtic manager Brendan Rogers has recently spoke in his UEFA Champions League pre-match press conference, where he revealed that Nat Philips will not be available against Feyenoord.

“Yeah, Nat [Phillips], he’s obviously he’s rolled his ankle, so we just have to see on that. But other than that, pretty much the guys are fine,” Rogers explained.

“They are working their way up to fitness. Apart from that, we’re ok.”

The 26-year-old sustained the injury against Dundee on Saturday.

He reportedly did not enjoy the best debut for Celtic, but it is understandable as he has not been playing first-team football recently.

After missing out on the Old Firm derby and now the opening Champions League tie, Nat Philips will likely be feeling hard done by.

It remains to be seen whether his short-term loan in Scotland gets extended, and whether manager Brendan Rogers wants to keep Philips at the club until the end of the season.
