Liverpool got through to the FA Cup fourth round after a mammoth effort from the players against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
They were under pressure in the first half but Arsenal only managed to create two big openings and they hit the side netting as well as the crossbar whilst their other efforts were blocked by Liverpool’s defenders.
In the second half, Jurgen Klopp made some tactical changes which put The Reds on the front foot as Arsenal struggled to take any chances, again.
Jakub Kiwior scored an own goal and in the last seconds of the game The Reds broke and Luis Diaz fired past Aaron Ramsdale at his near post.
Liverpool have found out their opponents for the next round of the FA Cup as their ball, which was number three, has been pulled out of the hat.
Liverpool will face Norwich City or Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round
Liverpool have been drawn against Norwich City or Bristol Rovers in the next round at Anfield.
Last season Liverpool made it to the fourth round of the FA Cup after a replay victory against Wolves and they faced Brighton.
After taking the lead in the game they lost in the last minute due to a goal from Karou Mitoma, who has been nominated for the EA FC 24 Team of the Year alongside four Liverpool players.
The year before was a much more successful year in the competition for Klopp’s men as they went all the way and won it beating Chelsea in the final on penalties.
In the semi-finals they beat Manchester City at Wembley 3-2 which is regarded as one of the best days in the Klopp tenure as the whole of the red side of the ground were bouncing for nearly the whole game.
Supporters would love another run like that whilst this group of players will be eager to get another medal round their necks and some of them their first trophy since being at the club.
