Kaide Gordon has solidified his commitment to Liverpool by signing a new long-term contract with the club.

The 19-year-old sealed his future at the AXA Training Centre on Friday.

Gordon’s journey with the Reds began in February 2021 when he joined from Derby County.

Since then, he has accumulated seven senior appearances.

Starting with the U18s, Gordon swiftly made his mark in Jurgen Klopp’s squad, debuting in a Carabao Cup match against Norwich City just seven months after his arrival.

Throughout the 2021-22 season, Gordon achieved significant milestones, including becoming Liverpool’s youngest-ever scorer in the Emirates FA Cup with a well-executed goal against Shrewsbury Town.

He also secured a spot in the starting lineup for the League Cup semi-final clash against Arsenal.

Gordon endured a setback, missing the entirety of the 2022/23 season due to a long-term injury.

However, he demonstrated resilience and determination by making a comeback midway through the subsequent campaign.

Alongside his return to the pitch, he also reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool by signing another new long-term contract.

Although his progress was temporarily halted by a long-term injury, Gordon made a triumphant return this season.

He has featured in matches against Union SG, Bournemouth, and Southampton.

In addition to his senior appearances, the winger has contributed to Barry Lewtas’ U21s, notably scoring twice in their impressive comeback victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League 2 play-offs.

With his talent and dedication, Gordon’s new contract underscores Liverpool’s commitment to nurturing young talent and building for the future.

Gordon has racked up four appearances for Liverpool this campaign across all competitions.
