Kim Min-Jae has been one of Napoli’s surprise packages this season and, as expected, the interest for his signature amongst Premier League sides has begun to grow.

Manchester United and Tottenham are eyeing up the 26-year-old as the transfer window looms closer, but Liverpool are also in the running.

FootballInsider has reported that Liverpool are ‘prepared to meet his release cause’ which could see the South Korean international arrive at Anfield.

Kim’s contract includes a £43m release clause in July and so would not be a bank-breaking fee for those interested, given what the colossal centre-back would bring to their respective sides.

The Naples outfit hold a commanding 18-point at the top of the Serie A and are quietly hoping to secure the European and domestic double this campaign.

If Luciano Spalletti’s side manages the unthinkable, Kim Min-Jae deserves his plaudits as he has helped towards Napoli’s breath-taking defensive record of conceding only 16 league goals this season.

It has been reported that Champions League football will play a massive part in Kim’s decision for the future, which means a move to Anfield may be on the brink.

Liverpool must enter the top four spots this campaign to become an attractive option for any of their targets, and so Klopp will be putting his heart and soul into ensuring this is achieved by the time the window opens.

Kim is quickly paving his way into being one of the most in-demand centre-backs in the world and his enticingly low release clause could be classed as an absolute steal.
