Liverpool still gunning down on Moises Caicedo despite new contract with Brighton

The highly-rated midfielder is still on Liverpool’s radar.

Despite Brighton’s new and improvement contract they have signed with Ecuadorian international Moises Caicedo, Liverpool still remain interested, according to Sky Sports Deutschland via Florian Pletternberg.

Reports say Manchester United and Chelsea are also still in the race knowing a transfer in the summer is a possibility.

Roberto de Zerbi’s prized possession had a topsy-turvy January with the player seemingly wanting a way out.

Amid their push for European football, the Seagulls kept hold of one of their star men despite his desire to leave.

Liverpool still have their sights set on Jude Bellingham, who fill financially stretch any club trying to get him.

Alternatives such as Moises Caicedo are also being monitored by Liverpool in case their number one target, Bellingham, stays put in Germany.

This will delight Liverpool fans as not only does it show their willingness to improve an underwhelming midfield, but they are not deterred by the fact the 21-year-old has recently signed a new contract with Brighton.
