To the delight of Liverpool supporters, Luis Diaz was pictured in isolated training before open training resumed for Liverpool ahead of the second leg of their Champions League tie.
The Colombian star has been out of action but took part in a separate regime at the AXA Training Centre before the available squad made their way onto the training pitch.
Defender Joe Gomez also made a return to training following Klopp’s comments his return to action was imminent.
The encouraging signs end there, though, with teenage sensation Stefan Bajcetic noticeably not part of the training squad.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was also absent from training ahead of Wednesday’s clash, but we are awaiting an update from Jurgen Klopp in his pre-match press conference.
His midfield partner Thiago Alcantara remains to be seen with the rest of the squad, also, as Klopp stated the club will monitor the injured player’s development in the coming weeks before the Red’s away outing to Bournemouth.
A miracle will be required if Liverpool are to continue their European status this term having lost 5-2 at Anfield three weeks ago.
