
Liverpool will extend their current shirt sleeve sponsorship deal with Expedia. The news was reported by James Pearce for The Athletic.
The online travel firm’s current deal with Liverpool is estimated to be worth around £9 million.
Both Liverpool and Expedia were keen to continue their working relationship and the report states that discussions over an extension to the current contract began to take shape in the last few months.
Expedia has been the club’s shirt sleeve sponsor for Liverpool’s men’s and women’s teams since October 2020.
Commerical growth is seen as a vital aspect of Fenway Sports Group’s (FSG) business model as Liverpool owners and key to this growth is retention of lucrative sponsorship deals.
Liverpool are set to continue their deal with main shirt sponsorship Standard Chartered Bank as a new four year deal comes into effect this summer. The Bank have been the Reds main sponsors since 2010.
The extension with Standard Chartered is set to bring in around £50 million per year.
