Football journalist Graeme Bailey has today reported on the future of Guinea international Naby Keita, who is almost certain to leave Liverpool as a free agent this summer. The midfielder has not signed a contract extension and is reported to be unlikely to at this stage.

Bailey tweeted that Keita began to consider his future away from Liverpool when he was left out of last season’s Champions League final squad against Real Madrid. Keita felt he deserved to start the game after his fine form last season. We reported last month that talks over a new deal had broken down and that Keita was likely to leave Anfield in the summer.

Bailey reports for 90min.com that Lyon, Monaco, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all quite keen on the 27-year-old but that Keita himself has a return to his former club RB Leipzig in mind. A return to the Bundesliga seems to be very much on the cards for Keita.
