Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly undecided about whether to leave Liverpool in this January transfer window or to wait until the expiration of his contract in the summer, according to Sami Mokbel for the Daily Mail.
The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield in recent times, not helped by lots of injuries throughout his tenure at the club. Mokbel reports that there is interest in the former Arsenal man from Premier League clubs and abroad.
Oxlade-Chamberlain will be paid expensive sign-on fees by whatever club he joins if he decides to stay at Liverpool until the end of his deal in the summer, as free transfers entitle the player to these fees when commiting to a new club.
Without a new contract agreed at this stage of the season, it is almost a certainty that Oxlade-Chamberlain will depart the club. He will be fondly remembered as a good servant during his time at Anfield.
The 29-year-old has made 143 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 18 goals and registering 15 assists in all competitions.
