Liverpool have confirmed one selection decision ahead of today’s fixture with Crystal Palace. The Reds travel to Selhurst Park and hope to bounce back from their 5-2 hammering in the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid.
Arthur Melo will not be in today’s squad for Liverpool as the Brazilian will build up his match fitness by lining out for the Liverpool u-21’s today in their clash with Leicester City at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre. Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on Twitter.
On a season-long loan from Juventus, Melo has managed just 13 minutes for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season in the Champions League group stage vs Napoli earlier in the season.
A thigh injury suffered in October required surgery and the Brazilian has not featured since. Supporters will hope Melo can have some meaningful impact in the side during the remainder of the season.
