Fabinho gave his fellow countryman some encouraging words ahead of tonight’s European clash, where Liverpool lead by three goals despite starting strong in the first showdown between the pair.

The Liverpool midfielder spoke about Vinicius Junior and his threat in front of goal in his pre-match press conference alongside Red’s boss Jurgen Klopp.

“Vini is in an amazing time in his career,” said the Brazilian midfielder.

“He’s one of the main players for Real Madrid.

“In the first leg he showed why he’s at that level, especially the first goal he scored.

“It will be a great challenge to stop him.”

A report from The Telegraph claims Liverpool were the first club to try and land the Brazilian when he was plying his trade for Brazilian club Flamengo.

Fabinho is right in saying that his Vinicius Jr is one of the most threatening players in world football, with his desire to run at players and electric pace an absolute nuisance to handle.

Liverpool will be well aware of his talent after he opened the scoring in the first leg, as he wrangled his way through on goal to slot it into the far corner past Alisson.

In a further turn of events, the forward then levelled the scoring just 15 minutes later to then inspire an emphatic comeback for the La Liga heavyweights.

Liverpool head to Spain to attempt a mammoth of a comeback, and Klopp will ensure to instil into his players that stopping the Brazilian starlet will be game defining.
