As reported here in recent weeks, Liverpool are continually being linked with Internazionale and Slovakian central defender Milan Skriniar.
The 27 year-old would be a very welcome addition in the January window considering the recent injury to Virgil Van Djik. Reports are claiming the fee could be £70 million but that could be lower as the defender is entering the final months of his contract.
Italian football site Inter Live reported that Liverpool could try to buy Milan Skriniar for €40M due to Virgil van Dijk’s injury.
Skriniar had been heavily linked with PSG last summer but the move failed to materialise.
The defender has played over 200 times for the ‘Nerazzurri’ and was a major defensive bulwark when the team last won Serie A in the 2020/21 season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will need reinforcements at the back after losing their defensive leader Van Djik. Skriniar could be the answer to their defensive woes.
