It is no secret that Liverpool are one of the top clubs in the race for Jude Bellingham, but today news has hit that the Reds are targeting another young midfielder in the Bundesliga.
Top football journalist Fabrizio Romano has tweeted earlier today that Liverpool are one of several clubs interested in Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Emmanuel ‘Manu’ Kone. The 21-year-old Frenchman plays primarily as a central midfielder and has registered 1 goal and 1 assist for his club in 14 appearances this season.
Liverpool are in desperate need of a midfield rebuild, with last night’s defeat to Brentford serving as a stark reminder of Liverpool’s lack of dynamism in the center of the park.
Romano reports that Jude Bellingham is still Liverpool’s main priority, but recent reports suggest that Real Madrid are now the club leading the race to sign the Englishman. Should Bellingham choose Spain over a move back to England, Manu Kone may be the midfield player Liverpool turn their attention to.
Many top clubs are following French big talent Manu Kone. Been told summer is move most likely plan for player, agents and ‘Gladbach. ⭐️🇫🇷 #transfers
