Liverpool are set to undergo a squad overhaul in the summer, with the defence looked at as one area in need of reinforcements. Departures will be required to bring in new bodies, with Joel Matip linked with a move away in the summer.
Football journalist David Lynch was a guest on the Born ‘n Red YouTube channel yesterday and spoke about Kostas Tsimikas’s current contract situation.
Lynch reports that there has been no movement by way of offering Tsimikas a new deal, indicating that Liverpool may be open to offers for the Greek defender in the summer.
The 26-year-old’s current deal runs until 2025.
Tsimikas has been used primarily as a back-up to Andy Robertson since arriving at Liverpool in 2020.
Mainly viewed as a squad player, if Liverpool were offered a significant fee for the defender they will no doubt take it under consideration.

Tsimikas’ contract situation is one to keep an eye on in the summer, because there’s no talks going on with him at the moment – suggesting if a decent offer came in it’s one Liverpool could look at. pic.twitter.com/c9HPEVCedx
