Liverpool’s interest in Kylian Mbappe has been a story since the player left Monaco for PSG in 2017.
The superstar’s future has been a topic of conversation for the last few seasons, with Real Madrid and Liverpool heavily linked with the World Cup winner.
Mbappe was publically at odds with PSG last summer when he announced that he would not be signing an extension to his current deal, which ends in the summer of 2024.
This move left PSG in a vulnerable position where they could potentially lose arguably the best player in Europe for free.
L’Equipe now report that Liverpool have never broken contact with Mbappe’s camp since their initial interest years ago.
The report claims that Liverpool still believe they have a chance of bringing the striker to Anfield in what would undoubtedly be the biggest signing in the club’s history.
Mbappe could potentially leave PSG in January, with Real Madrid waiting in the wings.
The report from France maintains that the idea of Mbappe ending up at Anfield should not be dismissed yet.
