‘Diogo is the closest, he trains already for two days, three more days training for him.
I think he is in contention for the squad but we have to wait a little bit.’
Klopp said Liverpool will have to wait before making a decision on Roberto Firmino.
‘Bobby, I don’t know. We have to see how he deals with training intensity.’
Although pictured on the training pitch yesterday Virgil van Dijk is unlikely to be available in time for the derby on Monday night.
Klopp said: ‘Virgil I don’t think is that close but we will work on that.’
Brazilian loanee Arthur is nearing a return.
‘Arthur, similar to Bobby’, Klopp said
The Liverpool boss later revealed that Thiago missed training this week with a hip problem.
He said that the derby is an opportunity for Liverpool to show how special the club really is amidst his side’s poor run of games.
“It is a time where we can show if we want to show this club is really special.”
