Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media in a press conference today ahead of his side’s trip to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in their FA Cup 3rd Round replay.

The Reds are desperate for a win after some poor recent performances. After lacklustre displays it was obvious that the Liverpool boss was going to be asked about potential future signings.

Klopp refused to shut the door on any potential incomings: “We look outside as well. It is not that we are stubborn and go with these boys until 2050. That’s not how we see it.”

However, Klopp seemed to insinuate that he had to operate within certain boundaries when looking at potential signings:

“It’s about what you can do, that’s more important than what you wanna do. If the solutions were out there available and doable of course we would bring in players to help.

“We have an existing squad too. We are underperforming, we know that. We have limited options but we have players with a contract here they are just not available. If we bring players in we cannot put them all on the Champions League and Premier League, it is just not possible.”

Klopp warned that this may not be the right time for Liverpool to try and solve their problems by delving into the transfer market, despite admitting that Liverpool need reinforcements:

“Yes, we have to strengthen but is this the right moment? I can’t see it.”

Klopp also confirmed that Darwin Núñez is close to a return to action and that James Milner and Stefan Bajcetic had returned to training.
