
Roberto Firmino confirmed he would leave Liverpool in the summer for a new challenge elsewhere and the love for the Brazilian striker oozed in from supporters around the world.
His presence at the club is unmatched and has enjoyed quite the trophy haul in his eight year stint in Merseyside.
In Jurgen Klopp’s pre-match press conference, he was questioned about his thoughts on Roberto Firmino’s decision to leave, and whether there was any shock surround the decision.
“Surprised? A bit. I respect it a lot. Normal in this long relationship we have. It’s pretty special and I love the reception he got against Man Utd.” Klopp said.
The Liverpool manager also made a loving comment to Firmino and expressed his belief that his chant will be sung by the Anfield faithful for a while.
“He wants to bring this wonderful story to a positive end. The song will be here for a long time.”
