Jurgen Klopp on Firmino’s contract and Darwin Nunez’s injury.

The Liverpool manager wants Roberto Firmino to stay at the club.

Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media at full-time after Liverpool’s victory against Wolves at Molineux.

Klopp described the performance as ‘the reaction we needed to show’. He continued, ‘we were compact, we were together’.

‘I said to the boys after the game, that is how you feel when you play well and win.’

The manager was asked about any discussions ongoing with Roberto Firmino and simply said, ‘I have said it before, I want to keep him at the club, of course.’

Firmino has been linked with a potential move to the middle east in the past number of weeks.

Klopp admitted that players have worked their way into his plans for the weekend. He signaled Stefan Bacjetic out for special praise, ‘he did really well, good player, very smart in his movements.’

Darwin Nunez is set to return to training tomorrow or Thursday. Klopp described the Chelsea tie as ‘a massive game’.

On Nunez Klopp said: ‘I hope that Darwin is coming back in training tomorrow or Thursday so might be in contention then of course.’
